Yes—exactly that. I’ve had acquaintances surprised to learn I tend liberal. In their mind liberals are lazy, corrupt, and evil. My experience is the opposite but many have no clue.
One other idea is to actually join the fight. The women (and men) who have benefitted from a more-inclusive meritocracy during our lifetime need to show up now, with cash, at a minimum. ACLU, anyone?
Additional ideas to consider about women’s autonomy—look at the number of women having babies on their own through reproductive services. Check the figures in the U.S., Spain, and Australia, for example. It’s quite interesting.
